Academy Structure
Gosberton Academy is a small village primary school with five classes, providing a friendly and nurturing environment where learners and staff know one another well.
Our Classes
Our learners are taught across a combination of mixed-age and single-year classes. Our current class structure is:
- Class 1: EYFS and Year 1
- Class 2: Years 1 and 2
- Class 3: Years 3 and 4
- Class 4: Years 4 and 5
- Class 5: Year 6
Our class structure is carefully planned each year, taking into consideration the number of learners within each year group and ensuring that we can provide the best possible learning experience for every child.
Class Names
Each of our classes is named after a country from around the world. The countries change each academic year, giving our learners opportunities to discover and learn about different places, cultures and traditions during their time at Gosberton Academy.
For 2026/27, our classes are:
- Spain
- China
- Kenya
- Australia
- Uruguay
This is one of the ways in which we encourage our learners to develop their curiosity about the wider world and recognise their place within it.
