Hockey Tournament 6th October 2017

Seven year 6 children represented Gosberton Academy at the Spalding Schools’ Hockey Tournament. With a restructuring to the competition, the team had six matches throughout the evening.

A very impressive evening followed with the team producing some fantastic results, leading to a third place finish in their seven-team group.

Victories against Surfleet Primary, Weston Hills, John Harrox and Spalding Parish saw Gosberton score 10 goals in the process with the top scorer for the evening being Mitchell Sanderson.

Even in defeat, Gosberton showed a great deal of success, managing to dominate both games. It was a fantastic evening for the children to see their hard work at after-school club and in PE all worth it.

A big thank-you to the parents who were able to transport them to the Hockey tournament.

Tractor Visit

On Monday 27th February Willoughby Foods and Doubledays visited Gosberton Academy. The children in Iceland and Kenya class enjoyed learning all about farming from the farmers who brought their brand new tractor. The farmers explained all the features of the tractor, including: satellite navigation, a 1500 kg weight at the front to balance the tractor and a fridge for the farmer to keep his lunch cool. After listening very attentively, the children were allowed to climb the steps, sit in the driver’s seat and sound the extremely loud horn.
