Internet Safety Talk 19th January 2018

The children were made aware of different terms and conditions of these apps and shown some simple child-friendly terms and conditions. These included how the company has the right to take your personal information and sell it to other companies, making money from it.

In the other part of the lesson, the class looked at the seriousness of cyber-bullying and how it can impact people’s lives. The children were told what to do if someone was unkind to them through the internet.

Rand Farm Park 7th December 2017

Thursday 7th December 2017

Key stage one had a fantastic day at Rand Farm Park on Thursday 7th December 2017.  As part of our Christmas experience we got to decorate biscuits with Mrs Claus, they were delicious! We had a magical time going through the enchanted forest on our way to meet Santa and his elf where we got to choose our own gift from his workshop, did you know that the currency at the North Pole is chocolate coins? After lunch we went on a bumpy tractor ride around the farm and fed the animals, it tickled our hands feeding the cows and goats but we all had a fabulous time and were very tired from our fun-filled day.

St Peter & St Paul’s Parish Church 3rd October 2017

St Peter and St Paul’s Parish Church Visit

New Zealand Class had a fantastic visit to our local church – St Peter and St Paul’s. In our RE lessons we have been studying Christianity with a particular focus on worship and prayer. Before our visit we looked at some of the different features of a church and were able to identify them from pictures. We also looked at their purpose and how they are used in church. When we visited the church, we split into groups to complete a treasure hunt of these features. Reverend Walters very kindly showed us around the church and also told us about the personal history of some of these features in Gosberton Church. Our children were a credit to the school and very much enjoyed their visit.
