Children in Need

Well done to everyone who helped raise lots of money for Children in Need on Friday. We all had a great time in our pyjamas and we made a fantastic Pudsey bear out of coins. We also enjoyed the cake sale!

GIST road safety visit

Many thanks to GIST who came to visit Gosberton Academy to teach us all about road safety. We all enjoyed the lorry and learnt lots about staying safe when out and about.

Macmillan Coffee Afternoon

On Friday Gosberton Academy welcomed parents and carers to our second coffee afternoon in aid of Macmillan cancer support. This excellent charity provides practical, financial and emotional support for people diagnosed with the disease as well as helping their families. The event was organised by our new Pupil Council and it could not have taken place without the excellent help of the PTFA. We are very grateful for fantastic efforts of our bakers from Year 1 through to Year 6 and there was not a soggy bottom to be seen or dry sponge to be tasted as Paul Hollywood might say.  I am delighted to announce that a total of £250 was raised for the charity and would like to that all of those who attended for their generosity.

Welcome to our new website!

We are delighted to announce the launch of our new website. We hope you like the fresh new look to the website and the improved navigation that will allow you to find the information you need more quickly and easily.

Welcome Back

Gosberton Academy says a big welcome back to all of our children and families. We extend a warm welcome to our new children who have all settled extremely well. We hope everyone has had a great summer and is ready for an exciting term ahead! As always please don’t hesitate to come and chat to us at any time.

Dress Gold Day

Today we raised money for the Children’s Cancer Trust by dressing in yellow and gold. Well done to everyone – we raised over £160 and school was extra bright and cheerful!

Spalding Energy Science Workshops

Many thanks to Spalding Energy who came to school last week to hold science workshops for four of our classes. The children had a fabulous time and learnt lots about engineering and electricity in a practical and hands on way. As always they were complimented on their behaviour and we are very proud of them.

The Queens Birthday

France class had a marvellous time this week when they celebrated the Queen’s birthday as part of their topic work. They wrote invitations, made hats and dressed up as well. Happy Birthday Your Majesty!
