Sport Relief Friday 23rd March 2018

We raised £85 by wearing sporty clothes to school and holding a sports challenge during the day, where children took part in a variety of sporting activities – all in the name of Sport Relief!

Thank you everybody for your support!

Tennis Development Day 16th March 2018

Year 3 and Year 4 took part in a tennis development day at the Tollfield campus of Haven High. We learnt how to perform a forehand and backhand volley and enjoyed practicing our serves over the net. We can’t wait to take what we learnt today and put it into practice!

The Wind in the Willows 14th March 2018

Children were very fortunate to have Image Musical Theatre in to perform their version of The Wind in the Willows.  The children had a great time singing and joining in with the chorus whilst a handful of children were fortunate enough to become actors for the afternoon and become characters from the story.  A great afternoon was had by all and we look forward to seeing the work the children produce from it.

Viking Visits Egypt Class 12th March 2018

Egypt class had a special Viking visitor at Gosberton Academy who came to show us many wonderful Viking artefacts and spend the day teaching us all about the Vikings. We learnt about Viking weaponry, foods and mythological figures. We also learnt how the Vikings raided Lindisfarne and even performed our very own Viking funeral. We had a fantastic day!

Electronic Percussion Workshop 8th March 2018

In March we were delighted to welcome Tony Parkinson to our school for his Electronic Percussion Workshop. Everyone enjoyed the workshop and the range of music, and some of us even got to take part! Tony performed a range of popular theme tunes that both children and adults could recognise.
