Curriculum Accessibility

Welcome to the Curriculum Accessibility page at Gosberton Academy, where we are committed to providing an inclusive and enriching educational experience for all our learners. Our school believes in celebrating diversity and ensuring that every child can thrive and succeed. On this page, we explore the various aspects of curriculum accessibility, including Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Pupil Premium, English as an Additional Language (EAL) and Mid-Year Admissions.

SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)

At Gosberton Academy, we embrace a holistic approach to education, recognizing the unique abilities and challenges of each learner. Our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) provision is designed to support learners who may need additional assistance in their learning journey. We work closely with parents, teachers, and external specialists to create personalised learning plans that cater to the specific needs of each learner. Our aim is to foster an inclusive environment where all learners can achieve their full potential.

Pupil Premium

We understand the importance of addressing the needs of every child, including those who may be eligible for Pupil Premium. Pupil Premium funding is utilised to provide additional resources, support and opportunities for learners who may face socio-economic challenges. Our dedicated staff work collaboratively to ensure that Pupil Premium students receive tailored interventions to enhance their academic and personal development. The school's Pupil Premium Strategy can be found on the Pupil Premium Page of the website.

EAL (English as an Additional Language)

Our multicultural community at Gosberton Academy values diversity and we welcome all learners. For any learners where English is an additional language (EAL Learners) we would provide specialised support and intervention to ensure the transition is as smooth as possible.

Mid-Year Admissions

Changing schools can be a significant transition for any learner. At Gosberton Academy, we understand that mid-year admissions require special attention to ensure a smooth integration into our school community. Our dedicated staff and supportive environment are here to make the transition as seamless as possible for both learners and their families.

At Gosberton Academy, we believe that an inclusive and accessible curriculum is the foundation for a successful learning experience. We are committed to providing the necessary resources and support to ensure that every learner reaches their full potential. If you have any questions or require further information, please don't hesitate to contact us.
